Students will take their longform improv to the next level preparing to perform an hour-long improvised play in the style of legendary playwright Tennessee Williams. Focuses will include creating vivid, relatable characters; telling a compelling story without stressing about “plotting;” earning laughs through commitment and honesty instead of jokes; and of course, comporting oneself as a true southern gentleman. Students will be expected to devote some time outside class to viewing and reading source material (please have watched the film version of a Streetcar Named Desire by the first class!)
